How do I get a mortgage?
The first step in buying or refinancing your home is getting pre-qualified. In this step, you’ll complete an application which is used to determine which loan options and amount you’re qualified for.
Next, we’ll need to gather support documents to validate the information you provided in the loan application. Once you sign off on the loan estimate, we will order your appraisal to make sure the loan value meets your refinance or purchase loan amount.
Our loan processor will prep and organize your loan file for the underwriter. During this phase, the loan processor will work closely with you, your loan officer, and third party vendors (such as title and escrow companies) to get all the necessary paperwork to fulfill the underwriter’s conditions.
Our underwriter will review the loan application, supporting documents, and analyze the risk level of your loan file. The underwriter will make the final decision on whether your loan is approved or denied based on your risk level.
Congratulations, you’re cleared to close! Once the loan is approved by the underwriter, we prepare the closing documents. We will schedule a time to meet with you and the title company to sign all required paperwork.
